And I’m sure the bees aren’t too thrilled either, but it had to be done. The two big root balls are being slowly poisoned with a daily dose of Round-Up Poison Ivy & Tough Brush Killer Plus.

oh, nooooooo! You could have gone crazy with pruning and easily moved it if it was too close to the house. Remember, sometimes the house isn't the only historic thing on a property. Removing the tree has made you drunk with plant-killing-power. Make it stop! Make it stop!
and now the downspout can be run away from the house. hopefully there isn't any rot near the foundation where it just stops.
It would have been nice to move it, but the way it was growing from under the house I would have had to remove all the skirting there to dig it out. I don’t have the time for that sort of thing.The downspout had an elbow at the end but the bush did push it off. I’m really glad that bush is gone.
